Green Light for ŠKODA AUTO Production Plants
On March 18, 2020, ŠKODA
AUTO shut down its production due to coronavirus. 39 days later, on April 27,
vehicle and component production was restarted with increased hygiene and
safety measures in order to protect the health of the people.

On April 27, 2020, ŠKODA AUTO opened its
Czech plants at 6.00 a.m. and has beaten with 30 minutes the Volkswagen’s Wolfsburg plant that started its
production at 6.30 a.m. However, ŠKODA AUTO restarted its three Czech
plants in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny, and Vrchlabí after consultation with the
KOVO trade union.
The increased measures of hygiene and
safety include protective face masks, plenty of disinfectants, and posters
remind all people who are working at ŠKODA AUTO plants about general
precautions like keeping a safe distance, refraining from shaking hands,
regularly washing or disinfecting hands, and if need it to cough and/or sneeze to
do it into their sleeves. Moreover, employees temperature checks are made at
the entrance of the company.

A lot of leaflets and posters are used at
the ŠKODA AUTO across all sites of the
company in the Czech Republic in order to inform employees about the protective
measures.
