The First Full Electric: Audi e-tron
The
Audi e-tron is the very first full electric model of Audi. It was presented on September
17, 2018 (Pacific Time US). The United States are key market for the new Audi
e-tron and that’s the reason why all begins in California.

The
Audi e-tron has two electric motors on each axle which gives you all-wheel
drive. The Audi e-tron has battery recuperation system able to safe about 30%
of the battery depending on driving style and road conditions. The battery
recuperation is achieved because more than 90% of all deceleration the Audi
e-tron recovers energy solely via its electric motors.
The
Audi e-tron range is about 400 km. In boost mode the e-tron can make 0-60 mph (0-100
km) in 5.5 seconds. The Audi e-tron is able to pull up to 4000 pounds. The charging
of the Audi e-tron can be made for about 30 minutes, up to 80% if you are using
DC charging 150 kW station. If you have 240 V plug, upgraded household
circuit/public AC charging, the e-tron will be charged for about 9 hours. The third
option is to use 120V plug then the Audi e-tron will have need about 80 hours
for full charge.

The
structure of the Audi e-tron is specially designed. The battery compartment is
beneath the floоr. The exterior keeps the single frame from the current models. The
side mirrors are replaced with cameras and the rear view displays are integrated
in the interior of the new Audi e-tron. Inside the new Audi e-tron keeps the
luxury. It gives driver oriented interior and 5 passengers seats.

The
Audi e-tron doesn’t have exhaust pipes due to its zero emissions. Moreover, the
Audi e-tron rolls off the assembly line at the CO2-neutral plant in Brussels.
The Audi e-tron is plan to be delivered to European customers for late 2018.
The starting price in Germany is 79,900 Euros. In the USA, the customer will
enjoy their Audi e-tron in the second quarter of 2019. The reservations of the
Audi e-tron are open now at starting price $74,800.
