SEAT and GAS NATURAL FENOSA Signed a Strategic Agreement. What do you think about the alternative fuels?

Today, SEAT president Luca de Meo and GAS NATURAL FENOSA president Isidro Fainé have signed a strategic agreement between both companies. The goal is to promote joint innovation projects and to expand the use of natural gas in the scope of mobility in Spain.

The Seat Arona will have 1.0 TSI engine with 90 PS powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the mid-2018.
Both companies have been collaborating in alternative transport fuel since 2013. Nowadays, the long-term partnership will growth the position of vehicle natural gas (VNG). The VNG is a common term in which is included two others alternative fuels: Compressed Natural Gas or Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG which one is different from the LPG).

SEAT president Luca de Meo and GAS NATURAL FENOSA president Isidro Fainé have signed a strategic agreement between both companies.
The natural gas benefits are environmental and economic. This fuel reduces emissions to the atmosphere and contributes to improving the air quality. It emits more the 85% fewer nitrogen oxide emissions  and helps decrease CO2 emission by 24%. The natural gas saves 30% of the costs in comparison with the diesel fuel and 50% compared to a petrol vehicles.

This collaboration between SEAT and GAS NATURAL FENOSA means that the car maker will offer more cars with alternative fuel. The Seat Leon already has CNG and petrol hybrid versions for its 5-door and station wagon models. The Seat Mii also has alternative versions. The Seat Ibiza will have CNG version in the last quarter of this year and the new Seat Arona will join the CNG team in 2018.

The Seat Ibiza also has the same 1.0 TSI engine which uses CNG fuel.
SEAT and GAS NATURAL FENOSA signed their first collaboration agreement in 2013. Since then, 237 compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelled vehicles have been added to the utility group’s vehicle fleet in Spain. The company’s current CNG powered fleet in Spain is made up of close to 300 vehicles.

In Bulgaria is very popular the additional install of CNG or LPG which I don’t prefer. I think that a car which has petrol engine has the work with petrol fuel. But here we talk about the new cars which uses CNG.
