The SWITCH-TRONIC buttons on the back of the steering-wheel give you the option for manual gear shifting and maximum dynamic performance with your pace. The shifting time is close to a tenth of a second and in Sport Mode you can force upshifts in the engine speed limit range. The central components of the transmission such as the torque converter and planetary wheels are designed to cope with the high torque.
