Why the BMW X7 Pick-Up is One of A Kind?
Probably,
many of us would like to see a BMW truck or a Mercedes bike is going to
looks like. There are several reasons that we have to use our imagination and
there’re some creators that make such visualizations. The reason why producers
don’t make everything is in their customers.

example, Mercedes made vans, trucks (don’t
confuse with a pick-up truck), semi-trailer trucks and this is the reason

customers would like to use and pick-ups. Especially, if the order includes Mercedes
Unimog Models then the client might be interested in purchasing units of the Mercedes
X-Class instead of looking for another model and going to another dealer.

Otherwise,
Mercedes hasn’t any history in producing motorcycles and that’s why they don’t
look for these kinds of customers and customers don’t look for a Silver-Star
bike. Investing in such a thing requires a lot of time and money. When you find
information that Mercedes has bought a share of MV Agusta – it’s just a
business.

never made vehicles that are part of light commercial vehicles or even trucks.
They don’t have such a portfolio. Years ago, BMW had decided to invest in
sports cars and sport-oriented cars and this is how people know BMW. BMW
Motorrad has been producing motorcycles from 1923, almost 100 years now. BMW
Motorrad is also known for creating bicycles with а cardan instead with а chain during WWII. So, BMW has motorbike history
and some people just know that BMW makes bikes.
The point here is the BMW X7 which is used as a platform for the One of A Kind BMW
X7 Pick-Up version. If you have noticed that the BMW X7 was announced in 2018 and it’s
a little bit later than its competitors. If
I have to say exactly, the X7 comes 14 years after the first Audi Q7 and 13
years after the first Mercedes GLS model, called the GL in 2005. Once the BMW
X7 is here, it could be used as a platform for a pick-up truck. Yes, it’s not
like the pick-up trucks that we are used to, like the U.S. version of Chevrolet or
Ford.

BMW X7 Pick-up version looks more like a European pick-up truck compared to the Ford Explorer or the VW Amarok, even with the Mercedes X-Class. The difference is that
the X7 Pick-up version is One of a Kind and there won’t be another unit. BMW’s
pick-up looks more premium and it doesn’t look like a vehicle that would be
used for work. The BMW X7 Pick-up design bears leisure and lifestyle spirit
like: “Today is a good day for a track day. I’d like to get my sports bike and
go on the track.” Maybe that’s is the reason why at the back of the BMW X7 Pick-up
is shown BMW F 850 GS. The premium quality is shown even in the loading area
where honey-colored teakwood is used. The teakwood is also used in yacht design
and it’s a very premium material.
The
BMW X7 Pick-up concept is made in ten months by twelve trainees from different
sectors as body and vehicle mechanics, vehicle mechatronics and technical model
construction. The single-unit version of the X7 Pick-up is a fully functional
and road-legal vehicle. This unique model is made from another vehicle returned
from testing which helps the concept to be cost-efficient. Its sort of
someone's trash is another man's treasure. The trainees had able to decide on the
conception and the implementation of the car. They had worked with expert
assistance. This is a very good way to jump into automotive construction if you
want to. The BMW Group trains almost 5,000 persons in nine countries worldwide.
