AMG for MPV

For the very first time the AMG Line will be available for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class and V-Class AVANTGARDE from the end of 2015. The AMG package will be available for all engine variants and body lengths.

This mid-size van will receive new sporty style from AMG. The new features are front and rear bumpers. The front apron has huge air inlets; diamond-pattern mesh and chrome trim. The spoiler lip and the rear apron also give to the V-Class sporty view. The side sill panels look lengthen. Actually, they aren’t but thus the van has more dynamic view. The wheels are 19-inch AMG in a seven-twin-spoke design. The AMG line gives to the V-Class 17-inch braking system, brake calipers with “Mercedes-Benz” inscription. The sport suspension lowered the MPV from Stuttgart by 15 millimeters (0.59 in). The Mercedes-Benz V-Class AMG line can be ordered with AGILITY CONTROL suspension featuring frequency-dependent, variable damping.

From September buyers can optionally add air conditioning for the rear seats. The panoramic roof, large center console and iPad holders will be optional extras which could be ordered from the end of the year.

The panoramic roof could be open! The interesting feature is that if it starts to rain the roof automatically will move to the tilt position in order to protect the interior. From Mercedes said that this panoramic roof is the largest in the mid-sized van segment with dimensions 1.90 x 1.12 meters (75 x 44 in). If the sunshine is strong the roof has two-section roller blind which can completely made shade in the interior. The roof and the roller blind can be controlled by switches in overhead console from the front and in the rear seats.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class AMG line offers two cup holders for the front seats. And for the rear seats there are five liter cooler box; USB connectors; a SD card slot; 12 V and 220 V sockets for mobile phones and laptops. The iPad holders also can be put on the front seat backrest.

Unfortunately, there is nothing about the engines. It would be nice if the V-Class has an engine like AMG 63. Can you imagine, calm driving of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster with 280 km/h (174 mph) on the German unlimited highway and flashing lights in your mirrors of the approaching V AMG 63?
