Audi Closes 2017 with 1,878,100 Sold Vehicles Worldwide

The first half of 2017 was tough for Audi but it closes the year with 1,878,100 vehicles worldwide. Despite the difficult start, Audi mange to sold more automobiles in comparison with a year ago. The sales marked an increase of 0.6% in 2017. Audi made new record-braking sales month by month in the United States with growth of 7.8% last year. In China, the Four Rings achieved 1.1% in the end of the year. On its home market and in Europe, Audi made an increase of 0.4%.

The Audi’s total sales in the United States are 226,511 units which were grew by 7.8% last year. In December 2017, Audi of America made its 84-th record–braking month in a row as sold 26,977 vehicles and marked an increase of 16.3%.


Audi sales in China from January to December 2017 were up by 1.1% with 597,866 sold automobiles. It’s all time-high sales record in China. In the last December, Audi made an increase of 34.3% and sold 69,160 automobiles versus December 2016.

Audi sales in Europe rose 0.4% to around 860,600 cars. The carmaker claims that the low increase is due to numerous political and economic uncertainties. On its own market the sales are 294,544 cars with growth of 0.4%, followed by Italy (+10.5% to 68,954 cars) and France (+3.6% to 63,980) achieved new annual record-breaking figures. Audi considers that the downturn in UK had a negative impact on overall results with decrease of 1.3% and 175,217 deliveries.

Audi saw highly demand for the Q models and it corresponds with the facts that the global sales are 689,150 SUVs with growth by 10.8%. The best seller from the Q family in Europe is the Audi Q2 which made 23,167 sales in Germany; 12,636 sales in UK and 11,068 sales in Italy.


The Audi Q3 increased its global sales in December 2017 with 11.3% as sold 20,950 cars. The Audi Q5 is the most sold Q member for 2017 with 281,850 units, most of them sold in China. The Audi Q7 made an increase of 3.9% last year. Only in North America 43,800 Q7s were sold in 2017.
