GMC had Best Sales Year from 12 Years
GMC
complete last year with 3% increase in total sales and 1% increase in retail
sales on the year basis. Within 10 years the average transaction price for GMC
trucks and SUVs has increased by 35%, from $32,600 in 2007 to $43,800 in 2017.

The
top trim level of GMC vehicles is called Denali and it set an all-time sales
record in 2017. It’s 29% of the GMC vehicles. The highest equipment level
Denali also made its best ever month in December 2017 with plus 39% sales. The
best four models with Denali trim level are: the GMC Sierra HD (50% up), the
GMC Yukon XL (63% up), the GMC Yukon (54% up) and the GMC Acadia (30% up).
The
GMC Acadia had its best year ever and marked an increase of 20% in total sales
compared to 2016. The GMC Terrain sales set up to 48% increase in 2017 without
GM help as the carmaker claims. The retail deliveries of the GMC Yukon were
growth by 54% and the Yukon XL was up to 51% in 2017 vs. 2016. The GMC Sierra
enters into the highest average transaction price of $48,000 in the segment and
marked an increase of 5% in last year.

GMC
had best retail and total sales in Canada for 2017. In December, the company
increased the sales with 47% year over year. The best sold models in Canada for
2017 are: the GMC Sierra which recorded best year ever retail and total sales.
The results of the GMC Canyon are the same as Sierra. The GMC Yukon retail sales
increased with 215% in December and 18% for the last year. The GMC Terrain made
60% up of the retail sales in December and growth with 24% for 2017. Last but
not the least, the GMC Acadia retail sales increased 44% in December and made
an increase with 38% in the last year.

GMC
recorded second best year of the total sales in Mexico, the brand hit the
market in 2006. The Denali sales marked an increase of 7% for 2017 and reached
total 73% growth in comparison within a year ago when the sales were 66%.
Although, that the all-new GMC Terrain had partial sales year due to launch
timing, it posted record sales.
In
Middle East, GMC made 26% increase of total sales for December year over year.
The growth is driven by the GMC Sierra 9%; the GMC Terrain 88%, the GMC Yukon
27% and the GMC Yukon XL 26%.
