Hyundai & Genesis Sales Reports May 2018

Hyundai Motor America reports sales for May 2018. Both Hyundai and Genesis vehicles made total sales of 66,056 units. It represents a 10% increase versus May 2017. Hyundai SUV family set several records which is the main reason of the increased sales.

2018 Hyundai Kona

Hyundai reaches its all-time SUV sales for the third month in a row and marks 41% compared with May 2017. The Hyundai Kona had more than 5,000 units sold and establishes itself in the segment with an increase of 53% versus April 2018. The Hyundai Tucson also had its best ever month with total sales of 12,991 units. It’s 15^th consecutive monthly record for the Tucson model. The Hyundai Santa Fe sales were +9%. The Hyundai Elantra sales increased 27% on year-over-year basis.

Genesis is a new luxury brand of owned by Hyundai. Genesis Motor America reported sales of 1,076 units in May 2018. It represents a 39% decrease versus May 2017.
