Carlos Sainz Signed for McLaren F1 a Multi-Year Contract

McLaren Racing confirmed that Carlos Sainz will race for the team in Formula One from 2019. Carlos, 23, from Madrid, Spain has signed a multi-year contract with the McLaren F1 replacing Fernando Alonso. In 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship, Carlos will start his fifth season. Now, he is 11th in the driver’s championship standings with 30 points.

Carlos Sainz is part of a legendary racing dynasty and in his early racing career won the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC championship and came runner-up in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, both in 2011. Sainz made his debut in Formula 1 in the beginning of the 2015 season reigning Formula Renault 3.5 series champion with seven poles and seven wins.
