Toto Before the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1
In an internal interview with Toto Wolff, Executive Director of Mercedes
AMG Petronas Formula One Team, describes the whole picture before the summer
brake which end is obvious now and all about Spa – a significant race track
where the next race for the Grand Prix of Belgium of 2018 Formula 1 Championship will be
held.

Toto Wolff talks about the next race on Spa, 2018 Belgian Grand Prix of Formula One. |
First
of all, Toto is glad that the Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport had time for
relax and they will return for races energized more than ever before. He explained
that won’t be relaxed until the final race in Abu Dhabi because both the Drivers’
and Constructors’ Championship points are extremely thigh and there will be
battle to the end of the 2018 Formula One season.
About
the Spa, Toto Wolff said that this track is quite tricky. There is a challenge, the right set-up to be found for a track with long straights, considerable
changes in elevation and high-speed corners. Toto described that the drivers
have need the right balance between enough downforce in order to be quick
through the corners and at the same time not carry too much drag for the long
straights.

Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Formula 1. |
Toto
said that it’s very difficult to make any predictions for Spa.
If this season has taught us one thing, it’s that there are no clear favourites for specific tracks anymore and that it’s not always the fastest car that wins.
He
also told that for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport has need to keep the heads
down, work hard to eliminate their weaknesses and further build strengths, and
take the season race by race. All of these things are said because the other
competitors are pushing very hard and there will be a very tough fight for each
race.
