How The History and Future Are Happening Now? The Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT

If we get back in the history of Peugeot we will see some of the most significant models of the French company. Now, I’m talking about the Peugeot 504 Coupe and you have to know that this particular model has also saloon, estate, cabriolet, and pickup versions. The Peugeot 504 Coupe is the most beautiful version of this era from 1968 to 1983.

What about now? Now, we see that the whole automotive industry presents 100% full electric model. Starting from Audi e-Tron, Mercedes is doing test of a full electric truck eActros through their customers. Peugeot also showed a 100% electric model. This is the Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT.

The Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT is based on the Peugeot 504 Coupe. The e-LEGEND is 100% electric and the power is distributed to the four wheels. The Peugeot e-Legend power is 340 kW (456 hp) and it has 800 Nm (590 lb-ft.) torque. The capacity of the batteries is 100 kWh. Combing all these facts the Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT makes 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than 4 sec. The maximum speed is, probably limited to, 220 km/h (137 mph). The range of the e-LEGEND is 600 km (372.82 miles) according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). The fast recharge gives more than 80% for 25 minutes enough for other 500 km (310 miles).

The Peugeot is brand that has very own and specific design. The Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT has aggressive face, two sector headlights and an illuminated badge between them. The structure of the old 504 Coupe is kept and upgraded in very modern way. The CONCEPT is shown with 19-inch wheels. A large third stop light is placed on the rear window. The tail lights are three-sector which recalls for a trace of a big cat. The Peugeot inscription on the trunk is also illuminated. Actually, the whole view of the Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT is very modern and keeps the lines from the old 504. Cool!

The interior is made with warm materials in a contrast with the cold digital materials. The upper parts and doorways are made from Paldao wood by HERVET MANUFACTURIER®. The wood is has taken from renewable forests and it’s made to recall the furniture of the 60s. EX-NIHILO® has created two perfumes especially for the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT giving specific atmosphere in the interior.

Peugeot has created digital materials or digital interpretation of real materials. It’s divided into two major themes: bronze-like line imitating cabinetmaking wood. It’s broadcast on 16 screens with different sizes. A 49-inche display curved under the front helm to the occupants. Another 29-in display is in the doors or 12-in in each sun visor. The center console of the Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT provides access to the main driving controls through a rotary control and a 6-in touch screen.

The steering-wheel of the Peugeot e-LEGEND is hidden in the dashboard. If this option come true, it will be really amazing. 

The seats of the Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT have a vertical padding and they are inspirited by the Peugeot 504 Coupe. The aim here is more volume with the most compact dimensions possible. The seats are designed for comfort fit combining ease and stimulating support thanks to the shape memory foam. The headrests are crossing, adjustable or fully retractable and integrated into the seat.

The Peugeot e-LEGEND CONCEPT has three-sector tail lights and the Peugeot inscription on the trunk is also illuminated. 

The PEUGEOT Responsive i-Cockpit® capitalizes on the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® that characterizes the models of the brand. It includes a headset with three dials and an ultra-compact steering wheel. On the video footage the steering-wheel has an option to be hidden in the dashboard while the occupants watch video on a huge screen. If this comes true it will be amazing… really amazing.
