Another difference is the engine range of the 2021 BMW 5 Series. We all know that in Europe the diesel engine is still available but in the States, the new 5 Series is available only with gasoline engines and Plug-in hybrid models so-called PHEV.
The U.S. Version of the BMW 5 Series includes the models: 2021 BMW 530i;
2021 BMW 530e; 2021 BMW 540i and the most powerful and entry-level 5 Series is
the 2021 BMW M550i xDrive. The 5 Series models 530i, 530e, and 540i are
available with rear-wheel drive or with the xDrive 4x4. The M550i goes with
xDrive as standard.

By the way, The facelift of the BMW 5 Series comes with an M Sport Edition which will be limited to 1,000 units. The BMW M Sport Edition is available for all engine specifications of the renewed BMW 5 Series but I do think that it’ll be more suitable for some of the most powerful versions starting from the 6-cylinder engines and going to the most powerful ones.
