Wellington (the capital of New
Zealand) is going to have more than 2,000 units of the Skoda Superb Combi / Estate for the police needs.
The best feature of the Skoda Superb Combi is that it’s one of the most
spacious estate models in the world and thus all police equipment could be
easily fit. For the police services of Wellington, models with two- and
four-wheel-drive are ordered.
Skoda Auto reports that the New
Zealand police officers had test drives and they were impressed by the handling
characteristics, high safety standards, and a generous amount of room of the
new Skoda Superb Combi.

The new Skoda Superb Combi is
going to be used for the new patrol and police cars. The tender process had
held last year where seven car makers participated. All car manufacturers
participated with a total of 27 different models. The New Zealand police
officers shortlisted 12 models which had participated in real-life test conditions.
Part of the selection criteria includes performance, braking, emissions,
serviceability, and running costs.
