V1 Challenge Bulgaria: What a Race - The youngest racer Abdullayev is first.
Burgas, Bulgaria. There
was unexpected twist because the winner is Abdullayev. Second finished Iskren
Marinov and third Kostadin Shterev.
This was the second race
for the Azerbaijani racer Abdullayev who took a part in the previous race in Ruse
for the very first time. Kostadin Shterev was first in Ruse and third in Varna.
Iskren Marinov was second in Ruse and first in Varna. Nobody expected that the 17-old
racer from Azerbaijan to beat the leaders.
This race started with
Drift Show to prepare the audience. After the show, the race had two training
series, two qualifications and two races as usual. During the qualification
Simeon Donov had a problem with the engine and a gear-wheel fell on the track. The car was fixed
by the mechanics and Donov continue the race.
The fastest racer was
Iskren Marinov who recorded 00:24:35 sec. during the qualifications and
received the award of DHL. Donov recorded best lap 00:24:36 sec; Shterev’s time
was 00:24:48 and the time of G. Abdullayev – 00:24:82 sec. Here is the list of

When the red lights turn
off, there was collision between Donov and Shterev on the first turn. Shterev
was kicked out from the track and two volkicars were spun. Another racer hit
Shterev’s Volkicar and the other racers stopped. This start was restarted but
Donov made false start and 10 seconds was added to his time. On the second race
Donov started from last position.
Iskren Marinov kept the
first position during the whole first race. Second was Abdullayev and Diana
Stoyanova finished on the third position. The start grid for the second
