The Fiat Ducato Won "Best Motorhome Base Vehicle 2016" Award

The readers of the “Promobil” chose the Fiat Ducato for “Best Motorhome Base Vehicle 2016”. The “Promobil” is specialized magazine for motorhomes and campers. The Fiat Ducato beat its German competitors like Mercedes Sprinter and Volkswagen T6. The award will be given to Bernard Wachtel, Head of Bodywork for FCA Germany AC at the ceremony during the CMT in Stuttgart. The CMT is Europe’s most important trade fair dedicated to Caravanning, Motoring and Tourism open to the general public. The CMT was attracted over 240,000 visitors last year. This year the CMT will be held in January 16 to 24.

Fiat Ducato Camper Van 4x4 Expedition

The Fiat Ducato is similar to its French cousins Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper. All of them use the same platform and have equal design but Ducato uses own engines from Fiat. The Ducato’s Multijet engines have power 130, 150 and 180 hp.  The Fiat Ducato is preferred for motorhome because of its squire, box-shaped cargo compartment and it’s easy to be arranged with camper equipment. Ducato has excellent steering circle which make it more maneuverable.
