Look at this small buddy that bears that classic Porsche design and according to the nowadays it’s a little bit lifted so that the Macan model is already in the small crossover segment. How can you describe the Porsche Macan? Is it small or is it a compact? Maybe it’s perfect?!

Although the Porsche Macan is in the small crossover segment where all carmakers have at least one model the Macan is different. It’s different even from the Jaguar E-pace and the Range Rover Evoque. I do consider that these models Macan, E-pace, and Evoque are very distinguished from any other competitors in the segment. It’s nice to talk about the Macan and compare it with the others but let’s see what the Porsche Macan offers.
This is the 2019 Porsche Macan, US version. This is how the entry-level Macan is presented. The standard Macan comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharge inline petrol engine. The max power is 248 hp @ 5,000 – 6,800 rpm and the max torque is 273 lb. – ft. (370 Nm) in the range between 1,600 – 4,500 rpm. The max engine speed is at 6,800 rpm.

And this is the 2019 Porsche Macan S, US version. It’s the very next equipment level after the standard Macan. So, the difference between the Macan and Macan S gives me beautiful feelings. Feelings that make me feel complete. I am wondering is it because of the V6, 90-degree petrol engine or is it because of the 3.0-liter engine - maybe both.
The Porsche Macan S 3.0 V6 petrol engine offers 348 hp @ 5,400-6,400 rpm and max torque is 354 lb.ft. @ 1,360 – 4,800 rpm. The max engine speed is at 6500 rpm.

The compact model with a clear design that keeps Porsche’s DNA makes the Macan model suitable for everyday use. The interior also offers a true Porsche design. The car could be useful for daily work or shopping but something more would be difficult. As you can see in the pictures it looks quite narrow inside. At the back, there is enough space for 2 people around 155 lbs. The trunk is able to take several large suitcases and some of your belongings with an average volume that doesn’t exceed the max trunk space of 17.7 cu.-ft (501 L) or 53.0 cu.-ft (1,501 L) if the rear seats are down.
The Macan model offers nice engines and although it could be a little bit narrow inside it could be very useful on a daily basis which depends on your lifestyle and business needs. The Porsche Macan with its 4-cylinder engine will be suitable for most of the city activities that you can meet but the Porsche Macan S should give you more fulfillment even when you decide to leave the city for the next few hours. Moreover, the S model should be equipped with more features than the standard Macan so that the difference of $8,000 might be pay off.
