Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan is the world’s first series-production unit that
features an electric exhaust-gas turbocharger. Thus spontaneous response across
the entire rev range is guaranteed. The electrical turbocharger of the AMG C 43
Sedan works on the 48-volt electrical system and it also feeds the belt-driven
starter-generator (RSG).

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan
engine produces pure 402 hp. An additional brief boost of 13 hp from the
electrical motor is also available in certain driving situations. The AMG C43

The all-new 2023 Mercedes C 43
Sedan with the AMG M139l engine produces 402 hp @ 6,750 rpm and the max torque
of 368 lb-ft is available at 5,000 rpm. An additional boost of 13 hp through
the belt-driven starter-generator (RSG) is also available for a short time, depending
on the driving situation – hard acceleration. Here the second-generation RSG acts
as a mild hybrid and additionally it supports gliding and recuperation
functions for maximum efficiency. Using the 48-volt technology improves the
comfort as the transitions between the start-stop and gliding-mode functions
are almost imperceptible.

accelerates from 0 – 60 mph in approximately 4.6 seconds. The top speed of the AMG
C 43 Sedan is electronically limited to 155 mph. With the optional 19- or

The new 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43
Sedan uses the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission. The MCT stands for Multi-Clutch
Transmission which has a wet start-off clutch that replaces the torque
converter. Thus the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan has a weight reduction and thanks
to its lower inertia, the response during acceleration is optimized. It’s
especially noticeable during spurts and load changes.

has improved short shift times and fast multiple downshifts. Moreover, the

C 43 Sedan, there are five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving programs: Slippery,
Comfort, Sport, Sport +, and Individual. With the choice of any of these
driving programs, you change the characters of both the engine and the transmission
of the 2023 AMG C 43 Sedan. Thus you have everything and you can experience eco-driving,
comfort driving up to more sporty driving as the best part is that you can
adjust the C 43 Sedan to your driving style with the Individual program.

The AMG DYNAMICS is featured in
the new AMG C 43. The AMG DYNAMICS system is part of the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT
drive programs and it has to enhance the stabilizing functions of the
Electronic Stability Program ESP® with interventions to add agility to the
steering characteristics plus additional ESP® functions. The extended function
of ESP® includes a brief braking intervention at the inner rear wheel when
cornering at speed. Thus the Mercedes-AMG C 43 is stabilized for responsive and
precise turn-in.

In the Individual driving mode,
you can choose the settings for the AMG DYNAMICS levels of the Mercedes-AMG C
43 as there are three different options Basic, Advanced, and Pro. The ESP® also
has three different stages. Enabled ESP® is marked with On by default for safety,
adapted to the sporty character of the C 43 Sedan. ESP® in the Sport stage
allows higher drift angles. In the third stage, when ESP® is deactivated it’s
marked Off and thus you can enjoy the real sporty driving on the race tracks.

suspension with Adaptive Damping System

comes with the AMG RIDE CONTROL steel-spring suspension with the Adaptive

Sedan has specially developed steering knuckles and suspension joints on the spring

The Adaptive Damping System on the
2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan continuously adapts the damping at each wheel to
the current demand. It always takes into account the preselected suspension
level, the driving style, and the condition of the road surface. This improved
ride quality and comfort for the AMG C 43 Sedan has three different damping

Three-Stage AMG Parameter Steering And
Standard Rear-Axle Steering
The new 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43
Sedan has a three-stage AMG parameter steering system that includes a variable steering
geometry ratio that adapts to the selected drive program. At high speeds, the
steering power assistance decreases; at low speeds - it’s increased. The
steering wheel response is more direct when either Sport or Sport + modes are
selected. At low speeds, the maneuverability is increased so that with little steering
effort even difficult maneuverings to be made nice and easy.
The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan
has standard rear-axle steering. It works with a max steering angle of 2.5°. The rear wheels of the AMG
C 43 turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels at speeds up to 37 mph
and this is variable depending on the AMG DYNAMICS setting. So, the
Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan has a more agile turn-in, less steering effort, and improved
maneuverability. At speeds above 37 mph, the rear wheels turn in parallel to
the front wheels up to a max of 0.7°.
Thus the wheelbase is virtually extended as the positive effect on driving
stability leads to a faster build-up of lateral force when changing direction.
Moreover, thus also gives a more direct reaction of the AMG C 43 Sedan when
cornering. Also, the response of the rear-axle steering depends on the selected
AMG DYNAMIC SELECT mode.

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan
has an AMG sport braking system with silver-painted brake calipers and black
AMG lettering. The AMG C 43 Sedan has internally ventilated and perforated
front brake discs measuring 370 x 36 mm with 4-piston fixed calipers. The rear
discs measuring are 320 x 24 mm with 1-piston floating calipers.

Excepting the optional AMG Real Performance Sound that has to enhance the sound for the occupants inside the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan via a sensor everything else about the AMG Exhaust System is cool. Like every else AMG model, the AMG C 43 also has to provide nice, deep and rich sound that depends on the selected driving program. For example, with the Comfort settings, the sound would be more balanced and with some of the sportier settings then you’ll get pure rich sound. That thing with the sensor in the exhaust system which gets the sound and sends it into the cabin sounds like a sound effect called AMG Real Performance Sound and it’s also optionally available. I’m sure that Mercedes created this feature very well but still…

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan comes
with a lot of AMG details that underline both the dynamic and the luxurious
character of the sportier C-Class version. The AMG C 43 has an AMG-specific
radiator grille with vertical struts in chrome, AMG front bumper with ar flics,
sporty air intakes, and chrome-plated trim elements that match the side sill
panels, the diffuser-look rear bumper, and the two twin-tailpipe. The AMG C 43
is fitted with AMG light-alloy wheels and 18-inch wheels as standard plus optionally available
19- and 20-inch.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan has
AMG seats with a distinct upholstery layout and seat covers in black
MB-Tex/Microfiber with red contrasting stitching and red seat belts. The flat bottom
of the steering wheel is in Nappa leather with a perforated grip and
silver-colored aluminum gearshift paddles. Two round AMG steering wheel buttons
allow fast switching of various dynamic driving functions and AMG DYNAMIC
SELECT drive programs. The dashboard and upper door trim are also upholstered
in leather with red topstitching. The AMG sports pedals, AMG floor mats, and the
illuminated door sills with AMG lettering enhance the sport and luxurious
atmosphere of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan.

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan – MBUX Infotainment System
The MBUX infotainment system also
features various functions and AMG=specific displays inside the 2023 Mercedes
AMG C 43 Sedan. There is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an
11.9-inch LCD center touchscreen and an optional Head-Up Display. The AMG C 43
also offers optionally the AMG TRACK PACE – it’s an integrated data logger for
use on the race tracks. With the AMG TRACK PACE feature more than 80
vehicle-specific data are recorded like the speed, acceleration, steering angle, and brake pedal actuation ten-time per second while the AMG C 43 is driven on
the track. Additionally, there is a display of lap and sector times as well as additional
training and analysis tools. This is how the Formula One spirit gets into the new
2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan.
