2017 Chevrolet Cruze Will Be On Sale In Fall 2016
Today,
Chevrolet introduces the 2017 Cruze Hatch. It’s just before 2016 North American
International Auto Show (January 11-24, 2016). The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze is
developed with all technologies and dynamic driving attributes of the all-new
2016 Cruze sedan.

“With 9 percent market growth in small hatchbacks last year, it’s the perfect time to bring the Cruze Hatch to America,” said Alan Batey, president, General Motors North America and Global Chevrolet. “As Cruze continues to set the tone for Chevrolet globally, it articulates the brand promise of offering cars with the latest technologies, more features and greater efficiency, performance and safety with fresh, distinctive styling.”
2017
Cruze Hatch has the same wheelbase as the sedan model 2700 mm (106.3 in). The
cargo capacity is 524 liters (18.5 cubic feet) which could be increased to 1189
liters (42 cubic feet) if the rear seats are folded.

Chevrolet Cruze Hatch has very sporty lines and unique roof, rear-end structure
and a little bit looks like Opel Astra. It’s normal because both brands are
sub-brands of the GM.
The
new 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Hatch is more than 91 kg (200 pounds) lighter than the
previous model because of the structure of the body that is also 45 kg (100
pounds) lighter than the old model. The engine also loses 20 kg (44 pounds)
weight.
The
engine for 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Hatch is 1.4L. It has turbo with direct
injection. The Start/Stop system is also available, electric power steering
and, on the Premier models, a Z-link rear suspension.
Unfortunately,
the information about the engine isn't much. According to the information about
the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze sedan the 1.4L turbo engine is connected to the
6-speed automatic transmission for North America. I also hope that there will
be and other engines for the new Cruze. But I really dream for powerful version
which is never superfluous.
The
lineup in North America will be offered in L, LS, LT and Premier. The most
expressive package is called RS which features unique front and rear fascias,
rocker panels, rear spoiler, fog lamps and – on the Premier model – 18-inch
wheels.
